Mount Morris School
The school is situated high on top of a hill overlooking the Genesee Valley. The curving facade framing the entry of the outside of the building is the main library space on the inside of the building. From within, the abundance of natural light and vistas accentuate the rural setting. As a beacon of light illuminating the night sky Mt. Morris resembles a large lantern. The architectural forms of the building playfully reflect the rolling topography of the site. Its colorful interior complements the bold architectural forms and defines the building; a home for Pre-Kindergarten to High School students. Attached by a slender bridge to a higher plateau is the gymnasium and fitness center which connects to the playfields. Spacious and grand, this area of the building is used for special events.
